On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Corps Headquarters Peshawar and was very appreciative about the enhanced situation of the security and measures for improved border management which included fencing of districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
General Bajwa was given an in-depth briefing on the current situation, socio-economic improvements in the tribal districts and the development works conducted there – as per the statement of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He acclaimed all the efforts of all security forces in helping civil administration for the fight against the pandemic, specifically the efficient efforts towards the containment zones.
Previously, when arrived at the Corps Headquarters, General Nauman Mahmood – the Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant received the COAS.
During his visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad last month, COAS recapped that the Pakistan Army will endure towards making extreme efforts for endowment of protected environment for continual socio-economic progress.
General Qamar’s thoughts on the same was such that security environment of the region and his vision of persistent peace in Pakistan.
The COAS further quoted that Pakistan army will continue to everything that is required for provision of safe environment for continual of socio-economic progress.
