There’s still time: To get your business ad, or student ad, in this year’s official Liberty Hill High School Football Program, the only program that sponsors the Liberty Hill All-Sports Booster Club (LHASBC) and the only program to be sold at LHHS football games this season.
For more information, e-mail me at chuck@kmacsports.com or call Monroe Williamson at 512.639.9326.
Speaking of the Williamsons: I work with them but I don’t quite know what’s going on in that Williamson household.
I do know Jamie Williamson, Her Honor and Mayor of Liberty Hill, hasn’t been home much. She’s kept her campaign “promise” and been diligently working with the City Council – as well as others in Liberty Hill – to get the city and community on the right track when it comes to growth and other issues.
Meantime, Mr. “First Dude,” Monroe, has been hammering out the sales (and other aspects) of the Football Program. He’s had a ton of help from LHASBC, in particular Deb and Malcom Terry as well as Arthur Zamarripa.
Allen Connally has been huge on the production end and Linda Lattanzio is lending her expertise to the final product as well.
But I’m especially proud of Monroe, who’s taken this project from the start and made it his own. He’s been phenomenal in getting the community involved with the program. Nice going, C.S.
Volleyball opens up this week: While Coach Jerry Vance and the LHHS football team works through its first week of practice and Kim Holt’s cross country team gets ready for its first meet on Aug.25, Gretchen Peterson’s volleyball squad will practice this week as well before hitting the court Friday for a scrimmage at Hutto (time TBA).
The Lady Panthers then host a scrimmage Saturday after Photo Day in the morning. They’ll hit the road and head south for a Dual Match Tuesday (Aug. 14) with a 5 p.m. start at Canyon Lake High School.
Say hello: To Tim Dean, who’s stepping back into the K-MAC Sports broadcast booth for this year’s LHHS football broadcasts. Tim comes “out of retirement” to resume his football play-by-play duties on the Panthers Prime Time broadcasts.
Also, a quick “thank you” to the broadcast sponsors so far: Bluebonnet Pride Insurance Agency, ACA Appliance and Air Conditioning, San Gabriel Family Medicine and the Liberty Hill Leader with others pending.
There’s still time to sign up to sponsor the broadcasts, too. Last fall, the combination of football and volleyball Panthers Prime Time broadcasts averaged 3,500 listeners and viewers per broadcast.
Shoot me an e-mail, chuck@kmacsports.com, if you’re interested. We can certainly work up a sponsor proposal including any combination of broadcast, newspaper and web site exposure, too.
