Other Liberty Hill JV contributors included Mason Sharp (four kills), Brittany Beach (three kills, one block and one ace), Grace Neill (two kills), Michelle Wentrcek (one assist) and Ashlyn Carroll (one ace).

The JV Lady Panthers were able to maintain a 3-6 point lead throughout the first set. An ace by Beach made it 12-6; a tip kill by Green made it 14-9; an ace by Peck and kill by Neill made it 22-17. The Lady Panthers went on to win the first set, 25-21.

The Lady Bulldogs came back in the second set, outscoring Liberty Hill by a 7-1 margin in the last eight points to grab a 25-22 win.

However, any momentum Burnet got from Set 2 was washed away by Wentrcek and the Lady Panthers at the start of the third set. Numerous errors by BHS helped Wentrcek and the Lady Panthers open with a 9-0 lead.

Eventually, Green and Mason Sharp hammered kills as Liberty Hill opened a 20-4 advantage. Burnet did make a slight comeback, racing off on a 8-4 run to close the gap to 24-13. But a return error by the Lady Bulldogs closed out the match for Brewer’s crew.
