Merle Rouillard and "Midget"

This week's Pet Tip is dedicated to a beautiful black German Shepherd dog, Bella, who was much loved by her family Terri and Jerry. Bella was only 7 years old when she succumbed to a spinal problem that took away her ability to run and play and then eventually her beautiful spirit. She will be missed so very much.

And now, a true story: There was no mistaking what that instant flash of vibrant bright red was that ricocheted off the windshield of an oncoming vehicle one day on CR 200. Right behind the vehicle, its mate made it safely across the road. Would she wonder why he hadn't followed her? Would she miss him? Would she look for him?

Going back, somehow, I found him and, cradled in my hand, I felt the warmth leave his body and melt into my palm as his eyelids slowly closed. I'm so sorry. You were loved.
