The Liberty Hill High School cross country teams ran under âFrday Night Lightsâ of their own as they participated in the multi-team, multi-level Brushy Creek Sunset Relays Friday (Sept. 3) at Vista Ridge High School.
âThis meet was another ârelayâ event,â explained LHHS Coach Kim Holt. âIt consisted of teams of three runners each and each person ran 1.5 miles. The kids did a great job.â
The Panthers and Lady Panthers did extremely well. The varsity Lady Panthers grabbed first place (that team ran a time of 29 minutes and three seconds), second (30:37) and fourth (32:26) in the Varsity Girlsâ division; first (24:16) and second (25:02) in the Varsity Boysâ division; and, second (28:16) and third (30:53) in the JV Boysâ division.
The next event for the cross country team will be a meet this Saturday in Llano.

Watch for good mix of seniors with juniors and sophomores to propel both LHHS cross country teams. Boys have good freshmen up-and-comers too..
