The Liberty Hill High School varsity football team got the 2010 season off on the right foot as the Panthers crushed the Rouse Raiders by a 34-14 count Friday night (Aug. 27) at Panthers Stadium.
The Panthers O-Line and running game produced over 450 yards of offense, led by Brandon Corn (189 yards), Johnny Johnson (157 yards) and Zach Leger (131 yards). Third-string senior quarterback Jesse Sukup did a more-than-capable job handling the QB duties.
Meantime the Panthers' D was great at times, good at other times, allowing just 14 points to a very talented Raiders' offense that ran the Spread offense. Derek Bates, Jake Sadler, Jadon Boatright were among the many stellar players stepping up for the Panthers defense.
